‘All-encompassing, Absorbing, Frustrating yet Fulfilling Love!’

I’m so very excited to welcome you to our second edition of Family and Faith Magazine, where it is literally all about love. No matter how successful, mature, confident or independent we get, we all have a deep-seated, genuine need to be loved and what better time than Valentine’s month to focus on this all-encompassing, absorbing, frustrating yet fulfilling subject! Plus our pages are packed with enough stuff to make love the subject for all 28 days of February! So keep your copy of Family and Faith Magazine and share with your friends and family.

You can start off with the story of long-time lovers and best friends Marvine and Zeelah Davis who offer up grounded, no-nonsense advice on the need to fight for love amidst today’s slew of distractions; enjoy the heart-warming, tear-jerking story of beautiful real love from Indi Mclymont Lafayette titled My Love is Blind – Lessons From Having a Blind Lover and refresh your understanding of love; the various types, how it is given and received, and much more from our wise and experienced counsellor, Dr. Barry Davidson.

Now the experience of love in relationships with imperfect people certainly has its challenges, so take a moment to check out Chris Brodber’s insightful look at cheating in the feature Hardened Men Cheat. Love, particularly for women, sometimes also means making your appearance more eye-catching so that you can either attract love or keep the love you have – so check out the first in our beauty series: Righteous Cleavage – Exploring Modesty for the Christian Woman.

Of course we have our monthly features: He Said, She Said, Dressed For Church, Shine Your Light and At The Table so partake, enjoy, share and of course let us have your feedback. We were very heartened by the many comments you sent our way about our inaugural edition – thank you so much and we invite you to keep it coming. Connect with us your way:

We remain extremely thankful for the faithful team behind Family and Faith Magazine and were happy to dedicate our efforts in a special prayer service held at Transformed Life Church recently. We are also very pleased to have the support of our wonderful sponsors who have helped to make this second edition possible. May God continue to bless you richly.

Dear readers, it is indeed the season to reflect on love – let us look at how we can make love the motivation for all that we do in our relationships and our service to others, remembering that God is the source of love and that “if anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?” (1 John 3:17). So “let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” – 1 John 4:8
